The Majesty That Is Utah
-
Delicate Arch
- This is of course the famous delicate arch at
Arches National
Park. I realize this doesn't look
anywhere near as good as you have probably seen before, but I didn't have
time to wait for better conditions.
-
Landscape Arch
- This is part of landscape arch. Note the extremely dark shadows caused by
using Fujichrome Velvia film.
-
Partition Arch
- This is partition arch. Far down below there are actually some people
hiking.
-
Ice and Rock
- This photo is taken from near the Devils Garden campground in Arches
National Park. The La Sal mountains of Utah are in the background.
-
Devils Garden
- This photo is taken from near the Devils Garden trailhead in Arches
National Park. Again, the La Sal mountains are in the background.
-
Island in the Sky
- This is taken in the "Island in the Sky" section of
Canyonlands
National Park. The line in the lower left is part of a long jeep road
through the park. We again see the La Sal mountains in the
background.
-
Reaching for the Sky
- This is taken in the "Windows" section of Canyonlands National Park.
It is typical of the strange formations visible in that area. I haven't
gotten around to editing out the annoying vertical scratch.
-
Silent Guardian
- This is also taken in the "Windows" section of Canyonlands National Park.
It is in a beautiful area known as "Chesler Park".
