The podcast was created by former U of A undergraduate physics student Penny Duran with the intention of covering a wide array of physics disciplines, and is now hosted by current U of A undergraduate physics and astronomy student Luke Meier.

Penny Duran

The Physics Wildcast was created and originally hosted by Penny Duran, a former undergraduate physics student at the University of Arizona. Through interviews with faculty, the podcast explores a wide range of physics disciplines, research experiences and topics in science communication. Penny produced the podcast's inaugural ten-episode season while completing her B.S. in Physics and minors in German Studies and Professional & Technical Writing. She has a strong interest in science communication and outreach. In Fall 2026, she will begin her Ph.D. in Physics at Duke University.
