Welcome Melissa Walton!

Please join us in welcoming Melissa Walton, who has joined the Physics Department as an Administration Support staff member.

Melissa was born and raised in Minnesota and recently relocated to Tucson, Arizona in February 2025. She holds a bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University. Prior to joining the Physics Department, she worked for seven years in administration at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Her background also includes a range of academic support roles, including tutoring, volunteer recruitment, and program administration. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, walking and attending live music events. She loves crocheting, watching movies, listening to podcasts, and exploring new food and travel experiences.
