World Quantum Day 2026

Join us in celebrating World Quantum Day, a global event dedicated to raising awareness and curiosity about quantum science and technology. World Quantum Day is held each year on April 14, a date inspired by the first digits of Planck’s constant, one of the fundamental numbers in quantum physics.

At this event, researchers in Quantum Science and Engineering will share how quantum ideas are shaping the future of computing, communication, and sensing. Whether you are already immersed in the field or just quantum-curious, this is a chance to hear about exciting new discoveries, explore where the research is heading, and celebrate the big ideas emerging from the very small world of quantum science. Whether you are a scientist, a student, or just a little curious about the science behind some of tomorrow’s biggest innovations, this event is a chance to learn something new and be part of the conversation.

We are pleased to feature Dr. Brian Neyenhuis as our keynote speaker. Dr. Neyenhuis will share insights from his work in quantum science and engineering, followed by a panel discussion with faculty and researchers in the field.
